Simulated driving program helps teenagers with ADHD be safer on the road

December 29, 2022 – Nadia Tawfik was 17 years old when she got her first automobile. “We found really big differences between the two groups and very, very statistically significant differences,” says Epstein.

To measure this, the research team installed cameras in many of the teenagers' cars. “It's like any learning process. It helps if you go through it over and over again,” says Ratey.

“I think the field of ADHD is moving toward skills-based learning. We need to teach skills to teenagers with ADHD,” says Epstein.

There was no less than one limitation to the study, nonetheless.
