Many people think that the one reason for normal exercise is since it helps you maintain a healthy weight. Not true. A sedentary lifestyle may cancel out the potential cardiovascular advantages of weight control, in response to a study published online on December 4, 2018. American Journal of Cardiology. Researchers checked out five years of health survey responses and weight calculations from hundreds of obese and normal-weight people ages 40 to 79 who had never had heart disease. The scientists noted the participants' amount of abdominal fat, waist size, and self-reported amount of physical activity, then calculated every person's risk of heart problems. Results: 30% of sedentary individuals with normal weight had the identical risk of heart attack or stroke as obese people. Sedentary adults who were normal weight also had higher levels of abdominal fat, dyspnea during exertion, and waist circumference than normal-weight adults who exercised recurrently. However, people of normal weight who exercised at the least 150 minutes per week were 58 percent less prone to have a heart attack than those within the study.
